
BRISASPOR, CHAMPION OF VICTORY PARADE OF INTERNATIONAL INDEPENDENCE ROAD
Between 26 and 30 August, the Victory Parade of the 5th Independence Road organized by Turkish Cycling Federation (TCF) under UCI 2.2 classification and included in the calendar of International Cycling Association (UCI) started with the İnebolu-Kastamonu Stage. Total 53 sportsmen from 5 countries in the name of 9 teams, such as Bulgaria, Syria, Georgia, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Turkey, attended in the race comprising 5 stages and to be run 5th times this year. During the victory parade organized by TCF on the road where the munitions were carried to the frontline in the independence war, the representative munitions, soil of Inebolu and Turkish Flag were received from District Governor in order to deliver to the military authorities.
The race has ended with the stage of Eskişehir-Dumlupınar which is the last stage of the Victory Parade of Independence Road. Mert Mutlu from Brisaspor became champion of the race of 516 km and Brisaspor won the championship as a team.
Mert Mutlu from Brisaspor won the race between İnebolu and Kastamonu.
The 5th Victory Parade of Independence War which is one of the most important races of Turkey following Presidency Cycling Tour started with the stage of İnebolu – Kastamonu. Mert Mutlu from Brisaspor/Kocaeli ranked first in the race of 87 km and won the yellow trunk.
At 14.00 o’ clock, the bikers started fort he stage of İnebolu – Kastamonu of 87 km, and they were subdivided into small groups when they started to climb the mountain Masruf. Mert Mutlu from Brisaspor and Mustafa Sayar from Konya Şeker Spor who got ahead out of 5 sportsmen in the front of these small groups took the lead in the race. Vladimir Koev from Bulgarian Team caught these two leaders who run together until 24th km and so the three leaders raced cutthroath on the climbing sprint.
When they arrived in the 10th km, a sprint was started among these three bikers for classification championship. When they arrived in the last 1 km, Mert Mutlu made a counter attack and completed İnebolu-Kastamonu stage with the time of 02.20.49 in the first place and won the yellow trunk in the general classification. Mustafa Sayar ranked second in the general classification with his time of 02.20.53 and Vladimir Koev, Bulgarian Sportsman ranked third with his time of 02.20.58.
Kemal Küçükbay from Brisaspor hit the headlines in the stage of Kastamonu-Çankırı

The stage Kastamonu-Çankırı which is the 2nd stage of the 5th Victory Parade of the Independence Road was run. Kemal Küçükbay from Brisaspor, Kocaeli hit the headlines in the stage of 113 km. In the general classification, Mert Mutlu won the yellow trunk, Mustafa Sayar won the green trunk and Vladimir Koev won the red trunk.
The stage of İnebolu – Kastamonu starting with 53 bikers continued with 45 bikers since some of them became ill and some disqualified, and the start was given in front of Kastamonu Court House. The bikers run under low tempo until Ilgaz Mountain and they dispersed when the mountain climbing started. 25 sportsmen got behind, while the front group going ahead under normal tempo started to descend when the altitude reached 1875 m. Sportsmen reached the speed of 100 km/hour and went over the referee cars and pedaled towards sprint premium. Kemal Küçükbay from Brisaspor/Kocaeli standed out amongst the other sportsmen divided into 2 groups had the first place of sprint Premium in the 64th km. Küçükbay continued to pedal and outpointed 13 sportsmen who tried to reach him with a time of 2 minutes. Küçükbay competed with Vladimir Koev for climbing Premium in 75th km and won this struggle and received the climbing premium. Kemal Küçükbay who is riding ahead the finish line with 4 other sportsmen who caught up on won the championship struggle together with Mert Mutlu, his team mate, when he saw the board fort he last 3 km. Küçükbay, passing the finish line first with a time of 03.16.15 had the first place in the general classification and so he hit the headlines in the stae of Kastamonu-Çankırı. Mert Mutlu from Brisa/Kocaelispor completed the race with a time of 03.16.16 by a short head near Küçükba in the second place and Mustafa Sayar from Konya Şeker Spor ranked third with a time of 03.16.44.

The Çankırı-Ankara stage which is the 3rd stage of Victory Parade of the 5th Independence Road was run. Omar Hasan from Syria Team ranked first in the race of 99 km where 35 bikers started and Mert Mutlu from Brisaspor became the champion of the stage.
Total 35 sportsmen who started with the race when Mr Uzun, Governor gave start at 14.00 moved as a single group until the sprint premium point in 47th km. The bikers run under low tempo first and then they got move when reached the sprint premium. The biker who went over the sprint premium first was Kemal Küçükbay from Brisaspor, Kocaeli. 6 sportsmen out of those who were subdivided into small groups in 60th km attacked when reached 10th km. Omar Hasan from Syrian team became the first biker of this stage with a time of 02.48.33. Georgi Petrov from Brisaspor/Kocaeli ranked second with the same time and Mustafa Sayar from Konya Şekerspor ranked third with a time of 02.48.44.
The winner of Criterium is Georgı Petrov from Brisa

The Criterium Race which is the 4th stage of the Victory Parade of Independence Road was run in Eskişehir. Georgi Petrov from Brisaspor/Kocaeli ranked first in this race lasting 65 km in the city center.
In the boulevard of Hasan Polatkan, 34 bikers started. In the racetrack of 3200 meters the race was run for 65 km based on 20 laps an deven some bikers attacked in the 9th lap, the group was not decomposed. Omar Hasan and Hussain Hazem from Syria had undesired accidents and were disqualified. When reached 3rd lap, Georgi Petrov from Brisaspor/Kocaeli, Martin Grosev from Dobric/Bulgaria and Nadiraze from Georgia attacked and got ahead. A cutthroat race took place amongst these three bikers with a time difference of 35 seconds in the last lap.
Petrow passing the finish line with a time of 01.18.17 ranked first in the Criterium Race. Grasev ranked second with the same time and Giorgi ranked third with the time of 01.18.18.
Mert Mutlu became champion of the lap
The Victory Parade of Independence Road with 5 laps started in İnebolu in August 26, ended with Eskişehir-Dumlupınar Race in August 30, the Victory Day.
Mr Kılıçlar, the Governor, received the representative munitions, on which the phrase of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk “my eyes are on the frontline and I listen to Inebolu” is written, soil of Inebolu and Turkish Flag in İnebolu delivered them to the sportsmen who will carry them to Dumlupınar. Start was given by Kılıçlar, the Governor, who lifted the chequered flag at 09.15 and total 33 sportsmen started to race for 152 km. Even they increased tempo from time to time they raced in groups in general and reached Dumlupınar without care of hot weather. As a result of attack made in the last 3 km Miraç Kal from Konya Şeker Spor had the first place in this lap with a time of 04.33.32. Kemal Küçükbay from Brisaspor/Kocaeli ranked second with the same time and Khan Shaikhovnifadi from Syrian Team ranked third with the same time.
The medals and cups for the sportsmen and teams ranked in were given by Sami Fındıkoğlu, the Brigadier General, Commander of Kütahya Headquarters, Şükrü Kocatepe, Kütahya Governor, Sadık Yakut, Deputy President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and Mustafa İça, Mayor in the award ceremony that took place in front of monument “First Target”.
In this lap, the yellow trunk, the green trunk and the red trunk found their owners. Mr Emin Müftüoğlu, the president of Turkish Cycling Federation dressed the yellow trunk to Mert Mutlu, the green trunk to Kemal Küçükbay and the red trunk to Vladimir Koev.

Mr Müftüoğlu delivered the representative munitions sent from İnebolu to Brigade General Fındıkoğlu, the Turkish Flag to Governor Kocatepe and the soil of İnebolu to Mayor İça and gave a plaque showing the map of the race in memory of the race.
RESULTS OF GENERAL CLASSIFICATION IN THE RACE OF VICTORY PARADE OF INDEPENDENCE ROAD
Mert Mutlu from Kocaelispor who covered the lap distance of 516 km with a time of 14 hours 17 minutes 38 seconds in the General Classification was declared champion of this race. For the general team classification, Brisaspor from Kocaeli was declared first, Hemus Vivelo team from Bulgaria second and Dobriç team third.
